I did a couple of photo shoots recently for my friends at Marie Hell. This one took place at Lincoln Center. It’s an inspiring venue due to the architecture, the fountain, and other public art and spaces. This Marie, the Play, is one of my favorite “Maries” for several reasons. I love the color, it’s a deep, inky blue. It’s less harsh than my usual black, but still “safe” for those like me, who want to stay clear of light colors.
I also like the sleeve length, because although I recently liberated my arms, and I’m going sleeveless again, there are times I still want sleeves and these are a nice length for summer. I was very active during this photo shoot: running, skipping, sitting on the ground.
The dress, like all Marie Hell dresses, is comfortable enough for any craziness you might want to indulge in.
On a personal note, Denton Taylor, the photographer, is the only person in the world who can actually get me to smile. The haircut is not to my liking. What do you think? I recently had it cut, it’s short, more angular, almost boyish. I was inspired by Michelle at Mohawkblock, whose Instagram I talked about here.
Yesterday, MGemi dropped another shoe. Look at this one! I’m not usually a fan of kitten heels but this one could turn me. The color is gorgeous, and the strap and buckle “tailor” the shoe. I can see it with something tweedy for fall, and I can see it with jeans for now.
